The Question Was Asked:
"Why is it that some of us have a hard time staying positive....??? I find myself constantly going back to negative thinking"
I asked for Guidance to this question, and this is what I have been told. I would like to share with others who may also benefit:
"The reason for this is simple. You are inundated with the thoughts of others as well as all that is negative around You. If You do not maintain a space of... Love and compassion within Your Heart, it will be very easy for You to be swayed, emotionally, by what You hear and see, and how that makes You FEEL. It is the emotions that control and influence the mind. This is why it is very important to calm Your emotional body before You speak. Intense Emotions, even happy ones, pull You out of Your calm center and into Your emotional body.
Your thoughts emerge from Your subconscious and Your subconscious is the domain of deep emotions. How You feel is not as a result of what You think, but rather what You think is a result of how You feel. The subconscious mind controls the autonomic nervous system, which controls endorphin release or stress hormones... the subconscious is about 90% of what You operate from in daily life. The subconscious mind is the storehouse for all of Your memories and every experience You have ever had... it is like the hard drive of Your computer. When Your hard drive is full of negative programs, and that is what it 'knows,' it is not going to operate well when a positive thought is introduced through the conscious mind. A positive thought is reacted to like a virus, because it is not already part of the hard drive. It is new and foreign, and does not co-exist with what is already "running" in Your mental and emotional bodies program. Eventually, the 90% of You that is operating on old beliefs will find the new thought, which it perceives as a threat, and find a way of deleting it. This is why You must by-pass the "critical faculty," which is like a Guard at the gate, and introduce the positive thought or affirmation INTO THE SUBCONSCIOUS where it will actually become a program in the hard drive and not a virus in the mental body.
Your "feeling" state is also Your vibrational state. How You feel determines what You attract, by drawing to You what is in resonance with Your feeling vibration. If You feel negative, You attract negativity, if You feel positive, You attract positivity. This is the Law of Attraction. Because You are beings who are in a constant state of flux and adjustment You are like a leaf blowing in the wind when You do not maintain Your own emotional "constant". You must be Your own "eye" of the storm. You must understand that Your subconscious mind is like the vast Ocean, and when You introduce a new thought to the Ocean, it is like a leaf that stays on the surface, not fully integrated into or recognized by the Ocean. It is something foreign on the surface of the mind.
It isn't about 'thinking happy thoughts'... it is about knowing what Guides You. Your internal compass is Your Heart. Your emotions will tell You if what You are doing is in alignment with Your Higher Good. Staying positive is about finding Your center, through meditation and stillness, and making that Your constant point of reference. If You are not able to work with Your subconscious mind through meditation or self-hypnosis, then You will continue to ride the emotional current of other people's thoughts and feelings. The mass mind is the Hurricane, Your Eye in the storm, which provides You peace, happiness, and joy, is The God of Your Being within Your Heart. You must meditate daily and keep Your emotional body in a state of peace, in order for Your mind to be still.
Re-programming the hard drive of Your subconscious is the answer. You can do that with hypnotherapy, meditation, and vibrational healing... You can't work on the surface of the mind, all that does is make waves. You must GO DEEP to create change. The subconscious mind is the Master Keeper of Your State of Being.
Namaste Beloved Ones."
