I forgot to write this - it was so weird, just after I was finished writing my blog about Aspartame {I was writing in this cafe/plant shop... So weird but beautiful too, they were selling potted plants, hanging plants, cactus AND coffee!?} anyway just after I finished and posted that entry up, I walked next door to an Icecream shop. They sold warm waffle ice cream sandwiches and I was talking to the girl about a sugar-free icecream, cause I'm on a 1 month Candida cleanse and can't have sugar. (I also can't have dairy for this cleanse but I was only in there because at the plant/coffee place there was no bathroom and I had to pee!!) So I asked if the sugar-free icecream was soy and she said "Well it's Sugar Free but it has Aspartame" - what!! I was just writing a blog about Aspartame!? That was the first time I had ever heard someone talk openly about it, let alone someone who was being paid to sell food. She said "ya, if it's Sugar Free it usually has Aspartame because it has to have something to sweeten it." Wow. Maybe it's true what they say, "there are no coincidences." So I took it as a lesson to question everything that boasts "sugar free", to make sure it's not the gross poison substitute.
